Roles and permissions
Permissions depend on two things: a person's role and, for agencies, the access the company gives the agency. This article explains both. Admins change roles under Team.
Roles in the company
The company has the roles Owner, Admin and Member. A member also gets a role of their own in each workspace.
| Role | May |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything. Only an Owner can give the Owner role. A company needs at least one Owner. |
| Admin | Manage team, workspaces, agencies and connections. Has Admin access in every workspace. |
| Member | Works only in the workspaces where a role has been given. |
Roles in the workspace
| Role | May |
|---|---|
| Admin | Manage the naming convention, websites, connections, agencies and team, decide on value requests, mark a campaign as ready to start despite open items. |
| Editor | Create and change campaigns, links, QR codes and tracking requests, for all agencies. An Editor can only request new values. |
| Viewer | Read campaigns, links, tracking, the naming convention and results. A Viewer does not see connections, agencies or team. A Viewer cannot change anything. |
Agencies
An agency has the roles Admin and Member. The agency Admin manages the agency team and assigns people to clients. What the agency sees in a workspace is decided by the company with two areas:
- Campaigns: own campaigns, links and results. The agency can read the naming convention and request new values.
- Tracking: tracking inventory and requests.
Agencies do not see the campaigns of other agencies. The company sees everything.
Example
At Lindenholz Küchen the founder is Owner. The head of marketing is Admin. A marketing colleague is a Member with the role Editor in the workspace. Management is a Member with the role Viewer. Nordlicht Media has the area Campaigns, Messbar Analytics the area Tracking.
If you cannot see something, usually only a role or an area is missing. Ask an Admin of your company.
An Admin can end an agency's access at any time with Revoke access. It takes effect at once. Campaigns, links and documentation stay in the workspace.
