One standard for every campaign, no matter who builds it.
Marketing teams, agencies and tracking providers plan, link, check and measure their campaigns in one place. By the company's rules, with checked landing pages and documented tracking. With or without Matomo.

One standard for your team and your agencies.
Newsletter, social, sales or events, with agencies or without: you set the rules and everyone works by them. What you build stays with you, even when people or agencies change.
For companies I am an agencyCampaigns your client can check for themselves.
During the pilot we set up your clients for you. Then you start every campaign checked, documented and measurable. Your client reads along and finds their own numbers.
For agencies I implement trackingRequests with a status instead of email ping-pong.
You see what has to be measured for which campaign, and you document what you have built in.
For tracking providersFour things that make every campaign more expensive.
Three spellings, three rows in the report
Every team and every agency builds links to its own taste. In the end nothing fits together, and channels cannot be compared.
The redirect swallows the parameters
The campaign runs, the budget flows, but the visits end up under "Direct". Nobody notices until the monthly report.
A pixel nobody remembers
A former agency or a colleague who has left built it in. What it measures and whether it loads before consent, nobody knows today.
Only those who know Matomo find the numbers
Matomo can do a lot, but not everyone knows their way around. So exports travel back and forth by email, and each side counts differently.
From planning to measuring, by one rule.
From the name to the measurement: a standard only helps if it applies to every link as it is built and holds all the way into the numbers.

everyone, depending on role
The platform, as your team sees it.
Real screens from Feinwerk Campaigns, with the fictional company Lindenholz Küchen, its agency Nordlicht Media and the tracking partner Messbar Analytics.
The link takes shape while you type.
Nobody builds links by hand any more. Every field shows at once whether the value fits the convention, and the address on the right assembles itself live.
Lowercase letters, digits and hyphens only.
A value is missing from the list? , the workspace admin approves it.
QR code for printMinimum size 2 cm. Export as SVG, PNG, PDF or EPS.
Values from lists instead of free text
Source, medium and campaign name come from the convention. Capitalisation and umlauts are normalised, so "Küchen" becomes "kuechen".
Every link has its own ID
The link ID travels as utm_id. That way results can be matched to exactly one link, even when names differ later.
Live means frozen
Once a link is live, its parameters no longer change. Every permitted change, such as the target, is checked and kept in the history.
Broken links show up before the budget is gone.
Between the click and the landing page there is often a whole chain of redirects. The platform walks it like a visitor and checks at every stop whether the campaign parameters are still there.
- With MatomoPaid social, autumn video is live but has had no visits for 24 hours.
- ResolvedNewsletter, banner on top: parameters arrive again. All-clear to the same recipients.
- ProblemNewsletter, banner on top: parameters are missing after the redirect. Email to Nordlicht Media and the marketing team.
- WarningTrade fair, poster A1: the landing page certificate expires on 14 Nov.
Today the platform checks every link as soon as it is created or its target is changed. Continuous monitoring with email alerts comes next.
Clean data starts before the first click.
The company defines once which sources, media and campaign names exist, how names are built and which channel stands behind them. Your team and every agency work by it, without training.
- Value lists with understandable names, such as cpc for "Paid Search"
- Patterns for compound names like {year}_{product}_{occasion}
- Channel mapping per medium, so reports count by channel even without an analytics tool
- New values are requested with one click, and only the workspace admins can approve them
| Field | Rule | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Source | List, 14 values | newsletter |
| Medium | List with channel | cpc → Paid Search |
| Campaign | Pattern of three parts | 2026_kitchens_leads |
| Content | Free text, lowercase, no umlauts | banner-top |
| Market | own field, list | ch-de |
Everything that measures on your website, in one place.
Matomo goals and events just like Meta Pixel, Google Ads or LinkedIn: who requested it, what for, how it is built in and whether it only loads after consent.
Requests with a status
The agency requests what its campaign has to measure. The tracking team sees it at once and documents what it has built in.
Does the event really arrive?
With Matomo the platform checks whether a new event is actually counted. "Built in three days ago, arrived zero times" shows up before the launch.
Agency gone, tags known Planned
When the work with an agency ends, you see which tags it requested and which can be removed now.
Useful from the first link, stronger with Matomo.
